Totally Rad

Looking out over the Sierra Valley

Last weekend, Brian and I took a drive up into the mountains, cruising through towns like Downieville, Sierra City, and Nevada City.  The purpose of our trip was three-fold: to spend time together, to drive our new car, and to search for tree leaves changing color.

I'm a leaf peeper, what can I say?!

What follows are my favorite photos from our day trip.  Now, you might be wondering: Why are there two photos of each subject?

The first photo in each pairing is SOOC (straight out of the camera).

The second photo has been retouched using Rad Lab.

What is Rad Lab?

It's a Photoshop plug-in that allows users to retouch photos.

It's super easy.  And super fun.

But unfortunately, it's also quite expensive--$149.

Right now, I'm test driving Rad Lab for 30 days using Photoshop Elements...and I'm enjoying every minute of it.

It's truly RAD.  But don't take my word for it.  Check out the photos below.

For more examples of pictures processed using Rad Lab, check out Paislee Press's blog.

Happy shooting...and processing!

J
