Color Inspiration #47

I made not one card, but two this week for Kristina Werner's Color Inspiration #47. I created the simpler of the two cards first (in basically five minutes flat) and didn't want to put the stamps away quite yet, so I made a second card using additional cardstock and papers. I've had the A Muse Artstamps Duck family stamp for several years now, but only recently pulled it out. See, I was going to use it on the card I made last week, but decided to use a different ducky stamp instead. A Muse was having a sale on some of their stamps recently, so I purchased the just ducky! stamp you see stamped on both cards. To be honest, I had no idea what just ducky meant, but I had seen it on several cute cards. So, I did a quick search on the Internet and according to Whatdoesthatmean.com, the term just ducky! means good or very well. Here's an explanation of how the term came into existence:

The term Duck or Ducky comes from a word Ducats. In Old England and Europe, countries used gold coins for trade, these were called Ducats. When a shopkeeper was asked how business was he would respond, "Just Ducky!", meaning it was good. Hence his customers were affectionately called Ducks or Ducky.

The weather is spectacular today; about 75 degrees and sunny! And my hubby is home after three days of work and play, so I can honestly say, life is just ducky...hooray!

This is sooo cute! I have the mini library clips and always struggle for a cool way to use them. Great idea! Both your cards turned out great, but I like the one with the brown bow best.
