Today after church, we drove up to Grass Valley to check out the Nevada County Fair. The Nevada County Fairgrounds are hailed as the prettiest in the state, and now I see why. Everywhere I looked there were tall pine trees reaching up to the sky. We even parked our car in among the trees!
At the fair, we petted a few pygmy goats, watched a live auction (a 200+ pound pig was on the auction block, which made me think of Wilbur), viewed a working sheep dog demonstration (featuring mainly border collies), feasted on bratwurst and zucchini tempura, enjoyed a flying dogs presentation, and stopped by the photo booth before heading home.
Hope your Sunday was a fun day, too!
J
