Color Inspiration #40

Hi there--
It's time for another Color Inspiration Challenge, courtesy of Kristina Werner! I found this citrus-y color combo quite challenging!

Here are a couple quick notes about this card:

*I couldn't locate Taken with Teal, so I substituted Tempting Turquoise.

*For the first time, I used the flower stamp from my new SU! Simply Said collection (a set given to me on Christmas courtesy of Brian's parents). I love it! :-)

*I colored the flowers with yellow/orange chalk, but thought they needed a bit more pizazz-- that's where the tiny crystal rhinestones came in handy. The rhinestones were especially tiny, though, so I used a pair of tweezers. With the tweezers, placing each rhinestone right in the center of the flower was a breeze! (Maybe I need to buy a second pair of tweezers because this pair needs to be available in the bathroom for those days when my out-of-control brows need some taming! That is, basically anytime between visits to see eyebrow extraordinaire, Sierra.)

*I also used my new favorite butterfly punch by Martha Stewart. It punches large butterflies (like the blue ones in the top part of the card) as well as small butterflies (like the green striped ones near the flowers).

*This card is sentiment-less. (I know I just made up a word! Hehe...) Most of my cards have stamped or rub-on phrases or words, but not this one. I think this card would work well as a happy spring card, a sympathy card or a thinking of you card.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Cute card. The butterflies look so neat coming off the page!

Nice job! I particularly like the rhinestones and the DSP butterflies.
