For the first time in {five} years, Brian was home on Halloween!
Which meant we had to add dry ice to our pond out front!
Kids and adults alike loved it! (The dads were most impressed!)
We also placed cobwebs around our front door and pumpkins on the step. (Sadly, we never got around to carving them!)
And we had music playing out the front window.
We had planned to buy some music from iTunes, but Brian found a free iPhone application which contained a whole host of scary sound effects. We hooked his phone up to two portable speakers and *voila* we had screaming, creaking, cackling and more--just perfect for entertaining the fifty or so trick-or-treaters who visited our house.
Here are a few of my favorite Halloween decorations...the top one was a Michael's purchase several years ago and the bottom one was a Bella Vista craft fair find.
You may have noticed that the color of our house changed. Last week, we *finally* had the body of our house painted gray, along with white trim and new white gutters. Oh, and the front door is now black. It looks like a brand new house and I couldn't be happier with the way it turned out.
Hope you and yours had a spooktacular Halloween!

I just LOVE the dry ice! It is SO spooky looking!-- and from what I can tell from the pictures, the new paint colors on the house look awesome! I love the black front door- so sleek!
Your house looks grea! Funny thing is we "finally" also got our unfinished trim/eaves pained this week!!! Doesn't it feel nice to drive up to a freshly painted house?
See ya soon!
