This holiday season, I'll be documenting the merriment leading up to Christmas in my first ever December Daily album.
The concept of the album comes from the oh-so-talented Ali Edwards, one of my favorite scrapbooking designers.
Yesterday, I created the foundation pages for my album, so that I'll be ready to add daily pictures and thoughts come December 1st.
Here's a look at pages #1-10 laid out on my scrapbooking table:
I kept the pages simple, mixing old product with new product.
I used patterned paper for most of my foundation pages, but also included a few transparencies.
Here are pages #11-20:
And pages #21-25:
Most of the numbers are from the Making Memories Fa La La paper, which I purchased several years ago. (Pages nine and sixteen give you a glimpse of what this paper looks like.)
The number twenty-five from this sheet doesn't work well with the transparency, so for now, I don't have a number on that page. (But I may go back and add one later.)
While I'm happy with the foundation pages right now, I may add a few embellishments in the coming weeks.
I'll also be placing photos and words on each overlay (see photo above).
Right now, I'm thinking that I'll hand write the journaling and have my photos printed at Costco.
The album's front and back covers are in the works; I should complete them tomorrow.
Once the covers are ready, I'll bind them together with the foundation pages and overlays using three metal rings.
I can't wait to capture our holiday (and non-holiday) stories in this December Daily album.

Awesome. Looks like you took advantage of the snowy day and kept working. I can't wait to get back to the project once I get furniture back in my house.
